Originally from the UK, Nick emigrated to Saskatchewan, Canada in 2002. The wide-open prairies really opened up his eyes to a whole new life of birding and photography. Unfamiliar with the birds of Canada, he poured over guides and joined the local nature society so that he would recognize every species in the Province, by sight and by sound. Taking part in bird counts during Spring, Fall and over the Christmas period also helped him accumulate even more species for his growing portfolio and helped gain more knowledge of the birds. The winner of several awards, his wildlife photography has been featured in books, magazines, apps for the Ipad and many other types of media. Nick is also an author of the book ’Saskatchewan Birds in Pictures’ and is a regular contributor of photos to a weekly local newspaper column on wildlife and numerous other magazines.
